Moab Variants Stride Across the Field

The Moab is an almost perfect example of Caprician walker vehicle engineering. It is a four-legged walker vehicle powered by twin V- engines located at the rear of the main hull. The latter sits on a universal turreted mount, to which a hip block is attached. Four powerful legs come out of the block, two on each side, which give the vehicle a somewhat insect-like appearance. The long legs are segmented for maximum mobility and equipped with claw-like feet for traction on the tough Caprician surface.

The Caprice Reubeni Attack Trike

The Reubeni attack trike is based on a scouting and exploration all-terrain vehicle that was itself derived from the Mule all-purpose truck. Except for the addition of armament and some performance tune-ups, the vehicle is basically the same. Most of the time, the guns are taken from downed corporate units: the most common configuration mounts a light rifle and a light machinegun scavenged from other vehicles. The fire control system is simple but reliable and uses remote bore-sighted gun cameras to relay targeting information to the gunner’s display. A makeshift gunnery station occupies the space previously reserved for a bunk area.

Guag Caprice Engineering Mount

Hamath Guag

The Hamath Guag is a newer variant of the popular Hamath mount. The Guag’s creation can be directly attributed to the CEF’s initial failure to secure all of Terra Nova. The drawn out conflict was not something that Caprician military forces were prepared for, and equipment was found lacking in some areas. One major area is battlefield recovery. Due to the size and shape of mounts, traditional recovery methods are hard to utilize. Mounts cannot be readily towed by other vehicles and their legs tend to sprawl out when placed on transport. The Guag uses a crane and a series of pulleys to lift immobilized mounts (or portions of them) while field repairs are performed. The Guag cannot reliably haul other mounts around or tow them back to a field depot. To help keep it safe while it is doing repairs, the Guag mounts a small rotary cannon with a limited ammo supply. This has not proven to be a major issue though as Caprician units tend to hold position around mounts being recovered. This not only protects the Guag but also is critical to ensure potentially recoverable mounts don’t fall into enemy hands.

Caprice Force Recon Squad

Force Recon Squads are often made up of lighter mounts, used for corporate facility patrols, checking mining operations and similar security detail. In the Post-CEF world, these squads have become the recon and front-line troopers of Caprice.

Caprice Reinforcements: Sarru and Rabbu

F-27 Sarru

The F-27 Sarru is a combat focused rebuild of the Type 27 “Big Guy”. The original Type 27 was designed for rescue operations and limited combat duties. Those roles are wholly unsuited to the type of situations it would encounter on Terra Nova. Alongside the F-112 Rabbu, F-32 Maru and F-55 Zikru it was reworked for direct combat operations. Various weapon loadouts were developed using preexisting hardpoints and equipment. Its hammer was retained due to its excellent performance in Caprician arena fights, the added intimidation factor is a bonus.

Caprice Reinforcements: Maru and Zikru

F-32 Maru

Small and wide-footed, the F-32 can easily make its way across both the urban jungle of Gomorrah or the broken ground of Caprice’s landscape. While initially employed as a civil policing unit, the F-32 has been updated with heavier armaments for combat operations.

F-55 Zikru

Like the F-27 and the F-32, the pads on the F-55’s hands and feet utilize “Lacerta-tech,” produced by Lysander Incorporated, which can be engaged to produce Van der Waals force. This Lacerta-tech, combined with additional climbing equipment, makes these frames excellent climbers.

Automaton Infantry Terminate Enemy Resistance

Automaton Infantry

Utopian warfare is dominated by automatons, or autos for short. Auto is a catch all term for any drone used by Utopians be it for combat, transportation, picking up garbage or even housekeeping. The most famous examples known on Terra Nova are the N-KIDU units. However, these are far from the only models used. Recent sightings of smaller, humanoid units have begun to trickle in. Classified as Trooper Automatons, the Utopian armies use these to clear dense urban terrain as well as hold and fortify positions against attacks. The Clearance teams in particular have a reputation for completely annihilating any opposing forces, human or auto, civilian or military, unless they receive an order to stand down.

The Shadow of Gomorrah Strikes!

Talon Lead

The pilot known as “The Shadow of Gomorrah” is actually a Black Talon member who has gone native to assist the Liberati. The pilot, whose name and identity are classified, served as the team leader for Talon 1 on Caprice during their now famous operation. Rumors and conspiracy theorists often claim this individual to be the terrorist Ernesto Jaxon although opponents of this theory point to his presence on Terra Nova during Talon 1’s operation. When the Black Talons returned to Caprice, this pilot was detached as an advisor to the Liberati but soon went silent. They would eventually reappear, participating in raids and operations alongside Liberati cells. Contacts within the Liberati and CEF 5th Column have reported the name “The Shadow of Gomorrah” being used to identify this pilot. Black Talon command considers this agent to have “gone native” although they have aided Talon teams on Caprice without incident. The Shadow pilots their Dark Mamba which saw action on Caprice with Talon 1. It has since been heavily modified to use local weaponry and parts in an effort to stay serviceable. If they need something more specific, Talon teams are more than willing to provide those parts after receiving the Shadow’s assistance during operations.
