Building the CEF G-16

The CEF G-16 is kind of an odd duck of a gear. If you play only CEF factions, you might not have access to the bits you will need to turn a F6-16 into a G-16. Fortunately though, most of the parts are easily accessible from a friend’s bits box!

First up is to decide where your CEF forces will be sourcing their equipment from. If your G-16’s are on Terra Nova, using salvaged gear from the locals, then getting your hands on some Medium and Heavy Autocannons, Medium Bazookas, Frag Cannons from various TN factions is pretty straight forward. If you want the frames to look particularly scrappy, you can always use a TN sourced V-Engine which has been recovered and pressed into service.

You can also use parts from the CEF colonies if you want imported equipment. Conveniently, Eden offers some great options here. Spare MACs from Centaur, and HACs from Animus (each comes with two anyhow) are a great source of parts. There is a sprue of extra weapons for the Centaur which also includes a MBZ and MFC. While not strictly WYSIWYG a Golem’s MSMG might make a decent LAC in a pinch too. Lastly, the MBZ from the Man at Arms golems will fit fine as an alternative to the Centaur’s. Doppel have good shields if you want to change them up, and if you’re particularly enterprising you might be able to use some of the Eden jetpacks to make a Mobility Upgrade.

The G-16 is a great opportunity to let your imagination go, using parts from basically any army to make unique garrison frames left with salvaged equipment, or inexpensively produced by the various CEF colonies.

Parts Used

Here is a bit of inspiration for converting your own G-16, many weapons across the game can be put into use on the F6-16 frame, by using a variety of parts you can make the G-16s in your force look more rag tag and cobbled together from available equipment.

Clicking any of them will take you to the store for that component. I hope you have fun converting your own!
