NuCoal Force Recon Squad

The history of Heavy Gear is filled with examples of combat groups designed for specific roles in battle. While the latest Heavy Gear Blitz rules allow an extremely high level of customization, there are some players who may wish to run historic units that have been detailed in the background, but may not fit perfectly into the way combat groups are constructed. To add some unique and flavorful list building options, Specialist Combat Groups can be used by armies in Heavy Gear Blitz!

The NuCoal Force Recon Squad is an example of such a combat group. Utilizing high speed gears, a Force Recon Squad can apply firepower nearly anywhere on the battlefield in incredible time.

Using Specialist Combat Groups in Heavy Gear Blitz!

Constructing a Specialist Combat Group is a bit different than a normal Blitz! combat group. Instead of picking the role and secondary role for the unit and filling it how you please, you must instead adhere to strict rules for composition, which may even include only running specific variants or upgrades. In exchange for adhering to this rigid formation, you may be able to run some models in a Role they may not normally fit in, or gain access to some unique options.

These groups may not be given secondary roles, and are only able to be used in armies from the force they come from, unless noted otherwise. They may however have any upgrades permitted by army and sublist rules, so long as the composition requirements are still met.

NuCoal Force Recon Squad

NuCoal’s combat doctrine places a premium on speed and initiative. Force Recon units are specialized combat units that push through enemy lines, disrupt enemy formations and cause havoc with rear echelon troops. These units feature a Cuirassier to coordinate their rapid advance as well as coordinate with other friendly units. Jerboas are used to wage electronic warfare on enemy systems while Chasseur MK2s strike and fade.

Combat Group Composition:
