Building the Para Jäger Longbow

Now that we’ve seen the rules, let’s get to making our own Para Jäger Longbows to use in our armies.

So first up, if you are working from scratch, the DP9 store already has you sorted! The individual Para Jäger comes with the Longbow parts ready to go. If you don’t have single pack (maybe you got the two-pack or the paratrooper box), it’s pretty easy to put together from bits from the shop or out of your bits box.

Starting with a standard Para Jäger, you simply need to assemble it as normal, but with a MRF in one hand, and LSMG in the other, or a folded version of the LSMG hanging from the hip. Attaching the Mortar can be tricky, but I feel like you have a couple options for positioning it. You can put it squarely on the back, where the parachute normally attaches, it’s fair to assume that the chute has been used during deployment and has been removed since. Or you can attach it to the back of a shoulder, which you see a lot in Southern designs.

Parts Used

Here you can see the parts used to convert the Jäger Paratrooper Longbow so that you can find them in your bits box, or order the parts you’re missing. Remember that the Jager Paratrooper Single Pack comes with the parts sprue!
