Modelling notes

The majority of the griffin parts are made of pewter, but its rear mounted VTOL wing is made of & resin parts to keep its weight down, we suggest that you assemble and paint the main body before mounting the rear wing and paint the resin wing parts before mounting them.

VTOL wing mounting:

  1. Take the painted left and right resin wing parts and peg them into the rear of the griffin torso mounting point, do not glue them unless you want the wing in a permanent fixed position.

  2. Test that the peg fitting is nice and snug, if not add a second laver of paint to the pegs, wait to day and test for a snug fitting again. Or you could add a small amount of blue tag putty around the pegs to help with the snug fitting instead of painting the pegs.

  3. Now glue the 2 wings parts together along the center seam where they meet.

  4. After the glue has set then also glue the tail part onto the center seam of the mounted VTOL wings.

  5. Now you should beable to raise and lower the vtol wing as desired.

1:144 scale - assembly and painting required, decals not included.
